Through the gate...

We had been corresponding for months with Dean Demmery, after he sent us data and photos of the museum's F-84. We managed to come up with several excuses to get to the Charlotte area, and found time for a quick museum trip. As we drove up and parked, we saw some old friends from Florence.
 
Missiles from Florence Many of the artifacts and aircraft from the recently closed Florence Air and Missile Museum are coming to Charlotte.
One of the museum's two Hueys was also out front,
 		 Huey
T28B along with a nice T28.

We went looking for the official entrance, and things began to get more interesting.

We went inside to find Dean and check out Mr. Piedmont's DC-3.
